NextChime manages independent countdown timers on your watch. Version 0.1.0 is free and needs no account.

An alert did not appear

Check the app's notification access in watch settings and use the in-app test reminder. Silent mode, Do Not Disturb, power management, and system version can affect system alerts; the app cannot override them. Reopening the app updates timers in normal clock conditions even if an alert was not shown. If the app detects an unusual clock change, review the time remaining when prompted.

A timer says “Clock changed”

If system time changed while a timer was running, check the actual remaining time and choose “Review and pause” in the timer details. The app does not silently treat an unusual clock change as a normal countdown.

Contact support

Support email: support@fatclaw.com. For a useful report, include your exact watch model, system version, app version, steps to reproduce, and whether silent mode or Do Not Disturb was enabled. Do not send certificates, account passwords, or sensitive personal information. We handle email under the support-request terms in our privacy policy.

Wear OS reminders

Wear OS needs notification access and exact alarm access. Check both in the in-app Reminders screen. Force stopping the app prevents background reminders until you reopen it. Timers work on the watch without a connected phone.

Tea, dinner, and your next timer

Name separate countdowns for tea and the oven. Run them together, check what is due next, and pause or add a minute to one timer without changing the others. Recently used names and durations can start a new timer.

Platforms and availability

Apple Watch version 0.1.0 is listed free in mainland China, the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. View NextChime on the App Store. Core countdowns run locally on the watch without a connected phone.

The Huawei candidate targets HarmonyOS Stage WATCH devices in mainland China. Its current store review outcome and exact retail model compatibility remain unconfirmed. WATCH, GT, and FIT are not interchangeable targets. Wear OS store availability is tracked separately; this page does not claim that it is publicly released.

Can I rely on every alert?

System permissions and silent or Do Not Disturb settings can affect alerts. Retail watch alert behavior has not been fully verified. NextChime is not a medical or emergency reminder service.
